Chief Executive John Lee cheered on the Hong Kong athletes taking part in various events at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou today. Mr Lee went to games venues to watch events in which Hong Kong athletes were competing, including swimming, wushu and fencing, and extended his warmest congratulations to the athletes who won medals. Noting that having the games in their own country is of great importance to Hong Kong athletes, Mr Lee said he was pleased to have the opportunity to watch Hong Kong competitors strive for excellence and demonstrate extraordinary capabilities. He expressed his hope that Hong Kong athletes will continue to excel and unleash their potential to achieve outstanding results. Hongkong Post will launch a special stamp issue and associated philatelic products themed on the classical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The stamp set adopts paintings created by renowned artist Tung Pui-sun in its design, enabling collectors to appreciate the novel's remarkable moments.
The set of six stamps and two stamp sheetlets features eight of the popular scenes in the novel.
To underscore these dynamic scenes on the stamp sheetlets, the stamps of both are specially made in a triangular shape, making them precious collectibles.
The stamp set also comprises a collector pack and collector card, two brand new products.
