With the aim of combatting the fear and misconceptions surrounding mental illness, Castle Peak Hospital’s Mind Space museum enables visitors to experience hallucinations, similar to the sensory experiences mentally ill patients encounter, by way of rooms that utilise virtual reality (VR) technology. A group of secondary students recently embarked on a journey through Mind Space after registering and receiving patient wristbands. This unique mental health experience museum provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the development of psychiatric services in Hong Kong. Displays in the museum showcase intriguing relics, including the evolution of restraints and handwritten patient records. The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating three additional COVID-19 cases involving two men who arrived from Tanzania and Russia and a woman who had visited Spain, Greece, Italy and Switzerland prior to arrival.
A total of 25 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including 24 imported cases and one import-related case.
The centre reminded specified people linked to CentrePoint in Sheung Wan and Leon Court in Wan Chai to undergo compulsory testing tomorrow in accordance with the compulsory testing notice.
