The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating four additional imported COVID-19 cases involving three men and one woman who arrived from Pakistan and the Philippines.
The centre is also following up with the Australian health authority on an overseas confirmed case involving a 55-year-old man who lives at Block 3, Monterey Cove, Caribbean Coast Phase 1 in Tung Chung.
He is asymptomatic and had received two doses of the BioNTech vaccine in March and April in Hong Kong.
The patient, who is a cargo flight crew member, tested negative for COVID-19 in Hong Kong on September 27 and travelled to Australia on flight HX2017 the next day. His specimen collected in Australia that same day tested positive.
As a prudent measure, the building where the patient stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period was included in a compulsory testing notice.
A total of 68 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, all of which are imported.
