The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the Discovery Bay restricted area finished today with no confirmed COVID-19 cases found.
It made a restriction-testing declaration last night, requiring people at Jovial Court, Peninsula Village to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. As of 12am, around 270 residents were tested.
In the subsequent enforcement action, the test records of about 75 people were checked and all of them underwent mandatory testing.
The Government also assigned staff to visit around 140 households, of which 25 did not answer the door. Follow-up measures will be taken.
According to the compulsory testing notice issued yesterday, people who had been at the premises for more than two hours from October 30 to November 21 must undergo compulsory testing by November 23 even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.
