Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Algernon Yau will join a delegation this afternoon to visit Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Dongguan, the Government announced. Organised by the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the aim of the trip is to help delegates keep abreast of the latest development of the Greater Bay Area for better integration into the nation’s overall development. The Government today announced that 13 positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Tai Po and Kwun Tong.
It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Ming Hoi House, Ming Nga Court in Tai Po and Tak Lai House, Tak Tin Estate in Kwun Tong.
At Ming Hoi House where 1,157 people underwent testing, 12 positive and one indeterminate cases were detected.
Around 920 people were tested at Tak Lai House and one of them was found positive for the virus.
Government staff also visited 1,050 households in the two buildings and will follow up on those who did not answer the door.
