Chief Executive John Lee cheered on the Hong Kong athletes taking part in various events at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou today. Mr Lee went to games venues to watch events in which Hong Kong athletes were competing, including swimming, wushu and fencing, and extended his warmest congratulations to the athletes who won medals. Noting that having the games in their own country is of great importance to Hong Kong athletes, Mr Lee said he was pleased to have the opportunity to watch Hong Kong competitors strive for excellence and demonstrate extraordinary capabilities. The Department of Justice today appealed to the public to be alert to a fraudulent email purporting to be from the department.
The email, sent from the address cheung.kwok@hkland.co, is presented as being from “Cheung Kwok-kwan” and contains a link to a suspected malicious file.
The department emphasised that it has no connection with the fraudulent email and has reported the case to Police for further investigation.
It reminded the public not to open any suspicious emails and advised anyone who has provided personal information to the sender or clicked the link in the email to contact Police.
